Renna Basses is family owned and operated.  Building for
consumers, shows, and dealers, we base our philosophy on no
compromise quality.

Founder James Renna was inspired one day after hearing the Korn
song 'Got The Life" to play bass. He received an Ibanez GSR for
Christmas in 2002.  From then on he was hooked.  He played bass,
night and day.  Then only four months after he started to play he just
decided to make a bass!  Only four months! No one thought it was
going to work.  "It started with me looking for a good bass I could
afford.  Deciding that I wanted to emulate Les Claypool's sound, I
checked out the Primus website, only to find that he played a
handmade instrument built by Carl Thompson.  I had never thought
of building a bass before, but now I couldn't get the idea out of my
head.  I got a piece of Purple Heart and the rest is history."  He still
plays that one as his main bass at shows and jams.

Our basses are made straight out of the consumers head.  Whatever
they can imagine we can make into reality.  They pick out the wood,
electronics, tuners, and whatever they could possibly need or want
and we will give it to them.  These basses are 5 star quality, and they
will only get better as time goes on.
